This course is designed for healthcare providers who wish to gain a strong theoretical foundation in injecting facial fillers and achieving facial harmony for patients.

Who is this Course For?

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain patient evaluation, assessment, and preparation—including consent/informed consent and pre-treatment care
  • Describe deep periosteal injections used to restore the facial structure
  • Understand subcutaneous and dermal injections to restore and rejuvenate the soft, natural curves of the middle face
  • Discuss the evolution of hyaluronic acid fillers
  • Understand the impact of aging on hyaluronic acid naturally found in the skin
  • Identify facial layer aging and understand how each layer affects another in treatment planning
  • Explain needle injection vs. cannula techniques
  • Recognize complications, including acute HA filler-associated ischemia caused by blood flow obstruction
  • Identify tools, supplies, and post-procedure instructions, plus tips for avoiding complications
  • Understand the action and use of hyaluronidase when implementing the protocol for adverse filler events
  • Practice novice injection techniques for hyaluronic acid fillers with live, hands-on training
